Low Carbon Innovation Fund

The Low Carbon Innovation Fund (LCIF) provides equity finance for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the East of England that are contributing to the low carbon economy.

LCIF is part of the Adapt Low Carbon Group at the University of East Anglia.

Cycle One of LCIF opened in 2010 as a £70m co-investment programme. Seeded by £20.5m of EU monies and matched with nearly £50m of private co-investment from UK and international investors.

Cycle Two of LCIF is now open for investments between £25k and £75k (Smaller Investments Scheme) and we would like to hear from suitable companies from any sector who are seeking investment to grow and develop and which match LCIF’s criteria.

We support early stage businesses that are developing carbon-reducing innovative technologies by providing advice and investment.
