Terms of Membership

1. Membership fees are for 1 year from date of receipt of payment and are payable in sterling only.

2. Membership is non-refundable (for all methods of payment excluding online payment). Online payment for WIN Membership with credit/debit card is refundable within seven days of purchase at the discretion of the WIN Membership department.

3. Applications are reviewed by WIN Membership department and may be accepted or refused at its discretion. Membership may be terminated at the discretion of WIN if any member or member organisation is considered to be in breach of these terms and conditions.

4. Applications for concessionary membership must include proof of status.

5. Individual memberships are for independent consultants, freelancers etc only and are strictly for personal use.

6. Organisational memberships are strictly for the use of the direct employees of the organisation named.

7. Organisational members shall nominate an employee to be their main contact with WIN Membership. The main contact will be responsible for managing additional contacts, informing us of changes in user details, and notifying us of users leaving their employment. If a contact ceases to be employed by the member organisation they have no further right to make use of WIN Membership benefits. It is the responsibility of the member organisation to ensure that their employees comply with these terms and conditions.

8. WIN undertakes to supply the benefits to members as described on its website and promotional material. However, we reserve the right to vary, amend or withdraw these services at our discretion.

9. All members agree to conduct themselves in relation to WIN events and network communication in a respectful and considerate manner and to not abuse the contact information provided for unsolicited sales calls or multi-recipient emails.

10. All members agree that the content provided by WIN Membership is the copyright of WIN unless stated otherwise. WIN copyright must remain on all reproductions of material sent from WIN Membership or obtained from the WIN Members’ Area of the WIN Website. You may download, store and use the material for your own personal use and research or that of your firm or company. You may not republish, retransmit, redistribute or otherwise make the material available to any other party or make the same available on any website, online service or bulletin board of your own or of any other party or make the same available in hard copy or on any other media without WIN’s express prior consent.

11. In order to provide the benefits, WIN will maintain a database containing organisation details as provided by the members and the member’s name, mailing address, email and telephone number (where provided by the individual / organisation).

12. Membership is continuous, until revoked in writing and acknowledged.  Three months notice is required to cancel membership.

13. Upon expiry of the membership subscription, the details will be retained on the database allowing for a member to easily resume their membership. A lapsed member can specifically request their details be removed by sending an email to membership@waterinnovation.net.

14. Payment for membership must be received in full before any membership privilages are awarded such as reduced delegate rates at events. WIN reserves the right to cancel or charge the difference when delegate ticket(s) are purchased at the reduced rate when payment for membership has not been received.
